Seminar Topics

Guillotine seminar - Deep dive into the fundamentals of one of the strongest submissions in grappling. The first half of the seminar will focus on the principles and details of setting up the guillotine position and maximising control. The second half of the seminar will look at using this powerful control position to effortlessly and brutally submit opponents.

Triangle seminar - Deep dive into the fundamentals of what is arguably the quintessential BJJ technique: the triangle choke. The first part of the seminar will look at the basic principles of setting ups the triangle. The second part of the seminar will focus on the small details that will allow you to create the strongest triangle position possible, able to submit with ease. Finally, we will implement these principles with some triangle setups from various positions. Guaranteed to increase your triangle finishing percentage.

Back attack seminarThe back is the strongest position in grappling, the aim of this seminar is to assure that anyone who gets to their opponent's back is able to submit from there. The first half of the seminar looks at the intricate details of the perfect rear naked choke, both two-handed and one-handed. Whilst the second half of the seminar looks at controlling the back and breaking down the opponent's defences, allowing for an easy submission.

Butterfly guard seminar - The butterfly guard is one of, if not the best guard in nogi grappling. The first half of this seminar will look at the principles of the butterfly guard position and concepts for guard regain and retention. The second half of the seminar looks at high-percentage sweeping options from butterfly guard, finishing with, in my opinion, the strongest sweep in grappling: the shoulder crunch.

Side control seminar - This seminar will look at the modified scarf hold, a powerful position for attacking the upper body. The first half of the seminar will focus on chaining attacks together to open up and expose the opponent's limbs. The second half of the seminar will be on the howdy position, in my opinion, the strongest and most crushing side control position in grappling.

Mount seminar - My newest seminar. For years I have disrespected the power of the mount position in nogi, seeing it as limited in its attacking options. However, in the last years I’ve grown a new found love for it as a dominant controlling and attacking position. This seminar will begin with looking at the principles of taking and controlling the mount position. In the second part, we will breaking our opponents down mentally and physically, ending with an almost unstoppable arm bar finish.
